1995 Chevy Camaro Headunit Swap

I have a 95 Camaro with the delco bose Headunit and speakers. I would only like to switch the headunit.

I bought a some Scosche gear (fit kit, wiring harness, fai-3a bose/premium sound interface)

the fai-3a pictured here: http://www.scosche.com/scosche.aspx?CategoryID=36&ItemID=SLC4 is wired as best I can... the speaker wires go into all 8 ports, and the ground wire coming off of it is connected to the ground wire for the stereo... however the blue/white (remote power on) wire coming off of the new head unit is not connected to anything.... in the manual for the fai-3a it says if you are not getting sound to make sure this wire is connected. However, on the wireing harness there is no such wire to connect it to... however on the factory side of the harness there is an extra wire going in, and there is no connecting wire on the scosche harness ( i am wondering if this is the amp wire i need to connect the blue/white one to)

I have it set to factory amp, although ive tried switching it while the cd-player is playing to common ground or the line out, with no success, ive adjusted the gains on the unit is all different ways as well, with no luck

any ideas?

I read here : http://home.earthlink.net/~jcgebhart/maxindex.html that I would need to tap into the amp turn on lead for my car, while this article is about a Nissan Maxima, I would assume it is still applicable. So for now, I need to know where my amp turn on lead for the camaro is, and how to wire in the 12v relay he speaks of in that article.
