I have a 2002 Mustang convertible with a stock 6 cd in dash stereo.  My ultimate goal is to connect my MP3 player to the stereo so that it plays on the speakers.  Is there any way to do that without a wireless FM modulator, in other words, i want wires so that the sound is as undistorted as possible?  Any help would be extremely appreciated.

I have a stock radio in my SRT-4 and I bought a auxillary interface adapter. You plug that into the rear of your stock radio where you would connect a cd changer, and then you plug your mp3 player to the adapter and you are set.

this is erdoc79,

I have been told that the stock stereo for mustang 2002 does not have any extra auxillary ports.  What are my options then?

I don't know if there are ones that allow you to keep the cd changer and add an MP3 player, but you can serach.

Either get rid of the changer, once you get an MP3 player with 2000+ songs, you won't be using that changer much anyhow. Or go and buy and aftermarket head unit.
