Hi this is my first post On my boat I just replaced the receiver Kenwood car stereo and the 10 CD changer new Sony. The Equalizer is old 7 years a Kenwood….and the amp is Sony same age….. New speaker wires, connections and new outside speakers all 4 ohms. Both sets of speakers have a buzz……Good ground and even with all other items in the boat turned off still the buzz. Could it be the equalizer or the amp?? How do I check? I realize it is an open question but I'm a newbie and not very good at this stuff. I did the installation and have checked every connection twice. All work just that dam buzz

Thanks for all the forthcoming expert advice.

While I'm sure the ground is good, it sounds like a ground loop problem. Do you have all those components grounded to the same point? You should, if you don't. Try that first.
