how to install a 240 watt audiovox amp

Descibe the amp's hookups. Are there any wires coming out of the amp? Does it have screw down terminals? If so, what do the terminals say above them.

Listen man, I can tell you how to wire this up, but after reading your initial post I highly suggest getting this done professionally. If you insist though, here we go. You need to run a power wire strait from the battery to the amp, I believe in your case a 10 gauge is suffiecent. Next you need to ground the amp. This wire MUST be the same size as the power wire. Now you connect the other end of the ground to a piece of metal in the car where all the paint has been scraped away and its bare metal. you run a wire from the terminal on the amp that says REM to the blue white wire comming off the deck (which I assume is sony). You are also going to need to hook up a set of RCA's from the deck to the RCA inputs on the amp. If this is the amp I am thinking of then its two channels. White and pink right? Anyways you know need to run wires from the speaker output terminals to each speaker in the vehicle. Make sure you disconect the speaker wires from the deck first or when you turn this thing on they are going to both blow up. After you have the speaker wires ran you should be good to go. Make sure there is a fuse in the power line within 18-24 inches of the battery. If you are using this for sub woofers then disregard the part about hooking up the speakers and just run the speaker wire to the terminals on the sub woofer box. If its a single sub with one voice coil then you can bridge it which means you connect the positive lead on the sub box to the positive left channel on the amp and hook up the negative on the sub box to the right negative on the amp (once agian, if this is the amp I am thinking of. If you are running two subs then you need to hook them up in stereo which means the wires from one sub go to one side ie left and the other set of wires go to the right side. If the sub is dual voice coil which means there are TWO sets of terminals on the sub then dont hook it up and get  a new amp cause your probally gonna light that one on fire. Thats as clear as I can make this by typing and if you dont understand what I am talking about then get professional help.
