I'm Having a bit of problems figuring this out and am hoping i can get some help. Both Units are shipping to my house as we speak.
Here is my system layout.
Eclipse AVN5435 (navigation and DVD double din )
Clarion DRZ9255
Seas Millenium Tweeters
Seas Excel W18ex001 Midrange
Dayton Reference 7inch midbass
Amplifiers:
DLS A4
DLS A3
DLS A6
I want the DRZ9255 to be my main unit, the unit that plays CDs. I want the AVN5435 to handle my Navigation and DVD duties, but i don't want to play my cds from there. How Do i hook up both units so i can listen to CDs and use my navigation at the same time? What complications can i expect or downfalls to hooking up both units?

What vehicle are you installing this into? Why would you want to do this?

I am installing this into a Lexus IS300 2002
The reason i am putting in the DRZ9255 is because i need a cd player capable of a 4 way active set up. The AVN5435 is just for long trips and what not.

The 5435 if I am not mistaking now has a gyroscope inside of it. Which means that it senses that car moving(mainly for gps)., But it also overides the video section. No more grounding the parking brake wire. At least that is what we were told at the eclipse training. As for running these two units at the same time. It can be done but I have yet to do it so I think its best to wait for someone that has done something similar to chime in on it. Might take a while though.

We've bypassed the avicn2 with the gyroscope. So it can be bypassable. I don't think the avn5435 has that function though.

What about using a small powered external speaker like the Alpine SBS-0175 you could switch on when using the nav and run the 5435 pre-out into one of the aux inputs of the 9255 for use with the dvd?
