I was wondering what system would be better two 12" W3v2 JL Audio subwoofers with a JL Audio 500/1. Or 2 12" Eclipse SW7124 subs with a PPI DCX1000.1 amp. This system will be in a 97 chevy x-cab.

probably going to be real similar, the enclosure is going to be the real determining factor.

I personally do not like PPI anymore as they are under the Directed label, i feel the quality has gone down considerably.

By the way, what do you mean "better"? Be a little more specific, please.

As far as SQ is concerned, I would lean to JL there as JL is widely known for SQ and I personaly have owned 2 JL 12" w3's but they were driven by a 1000.1.

I would have to agree with dwarren in regards to PPI. Just seams as if their lineup has fallen by the wayside since the takeover.
