Cheap Profile Amp Issue

So I have this old Profile CL-1200 amp, (go ahead and make fun of it; it was dirt cheap for something that will at least put out 600w at 13v, advertised as 1200w but we all know how misleading these "low end" companies are with power ratings) anyway, I am troubleshooting from 600 miles away. the amp is in spokane, Wa and I am in Boise, ID. 

This amp has worked just fine for about a year and all of a sudden it started nuke-ing fuses not just blowing them... nukeing them, and not the main fuse at the distrubuter, but the fuses on the amp itself.  I have checked all of the wiring to it and everything is fine, there is no short (as far as from batt-amp) but everytime I replace the fuse it melts the hell out of it instantly.  The amp has not been bumped or dropped, in fact it was bolted down tight when this all started happening, and all wiring was completely secure, in fact if I wanted to remove the ground it would be next to impossible.

I have removed all inputs and outputs (RCAs and speakers) from it and still the same thing.  I am assuming that this is an internal issue but I was just  wondering if anyone else has had something similar happen.

I plan on having it bech tested in a few weeks (as soon as I get back to Spokane) to make sure it is not just an isolated issue with my electrical.  So I know that is a good step in making sure, and I do not have the money to replace it.  No I didn't buy it from Ebay, I know better than that, I bought it from a local dealer (a good friend of mine that owns a shop in spokane, he tore it out another car because he was re-doing an install that circuit city screwed up and the guy that owned the amp told him to just keep it because he hooked this guy up with a good deal on a crossfire).

Any suggestions?

I was afraid of that, I am just in denial, because the car it is in is in Spokane and I have an 8 or 9 hour drive with it comming up just to get it down to Boise... I will go crazy without some decent sounding music, so I just don't want it to be true, I guess it will just make a nice looking paperweight (aside form them fact that the thing is almost 3 feet long).
