how many watts will a kicker kx800.2 amp put out mono? heres the data i got from the manual
RMS power:
13.8v 4ohm 200x2
13.8v 2ohm 400x2
13.8v 4ohm 800x1
for future reference how can i figure this out myself? semi-educated guess: does power double when resistance drops in half?

The way I have always been told to do this was the mono power of a 2 channel amp is adding the 2 channel power at the next resistance level down (current level / 2).

For this case your amp does 200x2 at 4ohms, so you "should" get 400 wattsx1 @ 8 ohms.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.
