amp putting out DC

what the hell makes an amp push DC into a speaker? i bought an amp from a guy who said it worked...but as soon as the amp is powered on the speaker pushes out and sticks in full excursion. any ideas? help! :-P

Your output transistors are toast.The amp isn't very good quality either becaue the protect circuit should shut the power supply down.
