Alum12q to 1000 watt Legacy?

Hi, I just bought a Audiobahn Alum12q and want to know if a 2 channel 1000 watt Legacy red series will pump this sub or should I go for more of a 1500 watta amp also there are 4 inputs on each side of thsi sub how do i go about hooking it up to the legacy if i can and what gauge wire should I run? right now the legacy is on a 12 gauge which is not enough for this sub and its pumping 2 True Blue 12s its my buddys amp and hes gonan give it to me we were gonna try it out sometime this week

swap meet special, neither one of those products ratings are realistic, that amp probably doesn't come close to 1k watts, nor will that sub handle a true 1k watt amp.
But to answer the wiring question, we need to know if it is dual 4 ohm or dual 2ohm in order to wire it properly.
In order to find what size power wire you will need, use the power ground calculator to the left.
If by not enough to pump this amp you are reffering to the lights dimming, you will need to upgrade your charging system that includes the big three, wire size not create or limit current flow! it is for your safety
