When building a box for subs with the magnets facing out how do you determin air space?  Do you still make it say 2cubic ft or less because there is not speaker displacement.

Thanks

if the sub asks for 2 cu.ft then make it exactly 2 cu.ft when inverted, , ,if mounting normally you would have to make it 2 cu.ft plus say 0.3 cu.ft to compensate for the sub displacement ending with a 2.3 cu.ft box.

What AlpineGuy said is dead on the mark. But,the change in air space for most subs will make no audible difference.
