Parking brake wire for AVH P5700

Hey guys just wondering if this wire is necessary for dvd viewing or can I just ground the green wire?

I read another post and they said just to ground the light green so i did but same result I get voice of movie but no visual.

You need to connect the system up as instructed in the installation guide as the video can only be displayed when the parking brake is engaged.  It is unsafe and illegal to do otherwise.  I suggest if you can't determine how to do this in your vehicle, you may need installation help from a professional in your area.

I believe you can hook up a switch on that wire and ground it somewhere other then the parking brake. Then once the system has powered on flip the switch on the wire, this fools the system into thinking the parking brake is on. If your deck has the built in motion sensor you cant do that. There is a way to bypass even the new models with the motion sensor, but im not going to post it here for fear of being burned at the stake!
