wiring 98 taurus with dual stereo

i have a 98 taurus and am not having any luck wiring it with a Dual stereo. i bought a wiring harness but it wouldnt fit so now im trying to find a way to do it myself. a wiring diagram, web address, or step by step advice would be helpful. keep in mind im not a very smart person :) . any help would be appreciated. you can post here or it would be even better if you emailed me @ what_it_is_yo_13@hotmail.com

Got some not so great news for you. The factory stereo is in two pieces, what you see in the dash and the amp/tuner box in the trunk behind the left wheel well. You also need a kit that replaces the entire dash section including the climate controls. All in one kit is the Metra 99-5715 LDS. It will most likely cost more then your Dual stereo did.

ok i found the kit. you were right it cost me way more than i had expected. i didnt even know that there was another thing in the trunk but when i bought the kit i figured it out. thanks alot.
