I am about to install a Sirius Oribiter or Sportster/StarMate unit into my friend Benz. I am not sure which one he will get.  I never installed this unit and I wanted to get any pointers before I head down that road. I have questions about the Antennna. Are these ant. similar to the Cell ant? I mean no holes required. Where would you mount the antenna on this vehicle? Some suggest the front roof. I know the ant must be as high as possible. I would like to hard wire the unit into the car accessory circuit, so if any one have a wiring diagram , I would like to have a copy.

Pretty sure this one is fiber optic from the HU to the amp/tuner in the trunk. Really hard to break into, I think FM mod. is the only way to go. And yes go as high as possible with the antenna.

Update......I took a look at the Mercedes and the car is already equipped with a button that says satelitte on the radio and it already has an antenna. Can I suggest to them to get the receiver that is made for the car. Can the one they just purchase ,Sirius Orbiter, use the existing antenna? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
