2001 GMC Sierra C3

Hi all, not sure if this is an appropriate question or not, but I'm looking for pictures or instructions on removing the dash to install an aftermarket radio in my truck. I imagine there are just clips that I "pull hard enough" will come out, but being a C3 with its "nice" interior, I want to be more careful. Any help is appreciated. I have installed many radios at home, everything from the battery back to the amps and subs, I just usually pull and pray on the head unit install, and again, I don't really want to just gung-ho it this time =] thanks again! loon

Sorry for quick double post, but I also had an idea, I am putting in a Blaupunkt San Jose, and I know I will probably lose the steering wheel controls, but I was thinking, I work in computers and soldering isn't a problem for me, would it be possible to wire the wheel into the blaupunkt should I be able to figure out the circuit board on the San Jose and of course which wires are which coming off the steering wheel? cheers loon

pac has a steer wheel contol adaptors  for factory to aftermarket hu which will be alot easier to do.

I'm sorry, what is pac? I am running to cartoys to get a fit kit, will they have the steering controls adapter too? cheers loon

just pull on the dash. you wont hurt anything.
