Car electronic insurance

My insurance agency said that did not carry a company that covered my stero equipment if my car was broken into. Where i am moving to I have to park on the street. That is like leving $3000 sitting in my trunk. Has anyone else had this problem or know how what i can do about it.Alpine cda-9855

It sounds to me like you need to do some shopping around. Your premiums will be higher, and you dedictible might be as high as a thousand bucks, but there are companies out there to cover your car stereo. I have the same insurance issue, but I park off street behind a locked gate, with an alarm on the car and the gate, and two Rottweilers to protect my car, so I don't worry about it very much - I have personally never needed to search for one. GET A GREAT ALARM AND GET IT INSTALLED BY A GREAT SECURITY (not necessarily the deck-and-two flunkie in the bay) INSTALLER... You got three grand in your system? I'd spend about 500 to 750 including installation, use some ingenuity to install it too. Put some thought into it! Think like a thief - how would YOU disable or bypass an alarm system? Don't put it under the steering column, like everybody else does - that's where the rat-bastard thieving ****s go to disable it instantly. Mine is buried elsewhere in the car, and there are no security power wires connected to the battery to be cut... If they are busy looking for your alarm, they AREN'T ripping your gear out of the dash and the trunk, right?It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. Also check to see if they offer Product replacement Insurance or if its just standard, the differences being is

Standard Insurance will give you money for your equipment as what it is valued today.Replacement Insurance will replace your equipment for the exact model if available, if its not available then you will get the current year model that was the same price as the original equipmentThats just the basics talk to the insurance companies, but do expect to pay a higher premium
