A few years ago I decided that my car would get an audio upgrade. Since, I have covered every inch of the interior with Dynamat Extreme; which I have to say reduced outside noise significantly. I've also run 4ga power to the battery and 12ga speaker cable from the front and rear speaker spots to where an amp will someday be. Also have two sets of coaxials (RCA or whatever) headed back too. I really need some help with my component selection though. I'm thinking an Eclipse deck (cd8454), component speakers (???) in front, either 3way (polk audio db690) or point source (???) 6x9 behind the rear seats (not sure which is more appropriate, and two Diamond 8" subwoofers under the rear seats. I know I'll need two amps to drive all this but don't know what to go with. Any and all input is appreciated. BTW, if it matters I listen mostly to rock.

Go with a good deck. Eclipse is good and you also cant go wrong with alpine. Also cant go wrong with JL components/subs/amps.
