Hi Everyone
I'm new to this board and I have a stupid question, but if anyone can help it would be appreciated. I just bought a used 2003 Nissan Sentra Spec-V. I noticed there are about 7 speakers including what looks like an 8" subwoofer in the rear of the vehicle. Does anyone know what the sub is and is rated for? Also, do I need a special harness if I buy an aftermarket deck? Thanks for your help !

The 6' sub is tied of of the rear speakers, to replace the radio there is a metra harness for it, nothing special. The audio system is very simple in that vehicle.

If you upgrade to an aftermarket HU, make sure that you tie in after the amplifier for the speaker's if you want to use the OEM wiring for the speakers. If not, then re-wire the entrie system with new wires.

You dont need to rewire around the amplifier, it is speaker level inputs into the amp which just feeds the subwoofer. Just get the metra harness and you are good to go. I have that same vehicle by they way.
