ok people after everything i am going to buy an RE MT 12. now all i need to know is how the stiffness of the spiders will affect or give any characteristics to the sub and which stiffness spiders should i get. the stiffness ranges from 1-5. the BL of the motor structure is around 49 and i wanted to keep this as strong as possible to keep the spl figure high. Now another thing, should i get dual, triple or quad spiders! thanks in advance

From where are you getting all these terms? The stiffness of the spider will not affect you directly, but it will be all characterised in the way a woofer behaves in a given enclosure, based on the drivers's Qts. I have never seen a "spider stiffness" number. If you are looking for a tight woofer (which is what is affected by spider stiffness) look for a woofer with a lower Qts. Typically, the lower this number, the tighter (or stiffer) the spider.
One spider will do, thanks. If the driver has the Qts you are looking for, then it won't matter how many spiders it has. If a manufacturer puts three spiders on a woofer, it is simply to adjust the woofer parameters, but it wont matter specifically to the consumer.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

The stiffness of the suspension (spider plus surround) is stated as Cms, or Kms which is the inverse of Cms (1/Cms), and is measured in mm/Newton. Is RE offering multiple spiders to their customers on the MT?  If so, then I would talk to them about what combination would work best for your install.
