connect amp to factory radio

There is NO remote wire on the back of a factory deck.  Use a switched 12 V power source for remote, or use a signal sensor unit (look at Peripheral) to pick up an ON signal through the factory speaker wires.  Easiest is to just wire into the dash onto a 12V switched wire and let the amp come on with the car.  Hook the LOC leads to speaker wires at the speaker locations and you won't have to figure out what wires are what at the back of the deck.

Use regular 16 to 20 gauge speaker wire (or Bell wire) to connect the LOC to the factory wiring.  Twist the wires around each other rather tightly (+ and -) and run them back to the LOC location near the new amp, then run RCA's to the amp.

If it would be easiest for you to hook up the LOC leads to the wiring at the back of the factory deck instead of at the actual speaker locations, you can find the + and - wires of the front pair of speakers by using a simple 1.5 volt D battery, slicing a nick into the OEM speaker wires, connecting combinations of wires to the + and - ends of the battery until you hear a sound come from one of the speakers.  That will indicate you have found the wires to that speaker.  When you have located a pair (four wires), tape all the other wires up where you have nicked them.  Then make sure the polarity is the same with the pair of speakers you have located (the connection to the D battery will cause them both to excurt outwards instead of inwards).  And note:  any small battery will do the trick.
