Has anyone ever tried building a Isobaric Quasi Eighth Order Series-Tuned Dual Reflex Bandpass enclosure. One of the techs at work wants to try this and I am trying to find someone who did it SUCCESSFULLY.

I believe this is what scott owen from edge audio is using in his Scion.       Its an 8th order box inside of a wall setup for DB-Drag.     To make it short he is doing 174db!!!on the term lab.     Granted the vehicle is reinforced with concrete and bullet proof glass, but he got it to work.     If you could get ahold of him he would be able to shed some light on these boxes.

Think Bose Acoustimass, this is how they work.  I have never build one.  But I do understand them and will say that the key to getting them to function correctly is precise (and I mean PRECISE) construction.  If any of the dimensions or ports are off from the calculated ideal by even as much as 2% the system will not function correctly.  If you have the skills, go for it.  It will certainly get loud at its tuning frequency if that's what you're after.
