OK, i have searched, and already knew that there are two units that can integrate factory systems to an aftermarket unit.. I had a customer come in today that wanted to put an avicn1 in his h2..  Problem is he has tryed the soundgate unit, and hasn't had any luck, he says he can't controll the volume of the onstar... and he also wants to run an swix or something of that sort to retain some steering wheel options...  I think part of his hopes with the swix is that he will regain his onstar controll.. but i don't think it will be effected.... Soo.. my question, will the pac gmonstar interface (also, this is bose).. will that unit allow controll in some way of the onstar volume, and what else would be needed to make this a flawless integration, thanks a lot in advace guys,....

The SoundGate piece has an overall gain that allows you to dial how loud you want the Onstar to be (if it is a digistar-xv2). If you use PAC parts you need two parts, one for the Onstar and one for the chimes. The SoundGate peice does them all in one piece. Also in a Hummer you can use the steering wheel controls to turn the OnStar up and down. Just turn on the OnStar and use the volume controls on the steering wheel to adjust volume.

OS2-Bose, CM1 and SWI-X are the only interfaces you'll need and it will work perfect.  These are all PAC pieces,,,

The customer said he try'd the soundgate unit, and he couldn't controll his onstar with his steering wheel. does the onstar volume controll run from the steering wheel, to through the radio and then to the onstar device... .or does it go from the wheel directly to the onstar device?   thanks for your help
