Fiberglass insulation

I bought this fiberglass insulation for this science project a few weeks back, and it seems all the cool ideas i've come up with to use the rest of it are either, unsafe, or just not good. I wanted to use it instead of mat for an enclosure, and as a replacement for polyfill. Is there any suitable use in car audio?? I'd hate to waste it, even though it was $7

Not a good idea. The fiberglass has tiny glass particles and this will get into the voice coils and damage the speaker internally over time.Jeff

mini, you can't be serious about this $7 question.  You know fiberglass batting is an insulation, and you know it's not a substitute for polyfil...so where in your car would you want to insulate?  Answer that and glue it there. Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Dacron/polyfil is cheaper then that. Go to a fabric store and ask for pillow stuffing. It does have one good use, when you have someone in your car you grab a hand full of it and rub it on there arms, face, or any where else that is bare.Certified Security Specialist

Haha alright; fine no insulation. But it's not so much that it's $7, and that's expensive or something. It's just the principle: I hate to waste things. I wasn't mad or anything, just wanted to clarify that. Thanks for the reasoning.
