ok so i have a bazooka 500w mono 4 ohm amp, paired with a 12" rockford 4 ohm sub, and an afterparty jvc head unit.
Just recently i noticed the sub stopped working, and when i went to take a look, i noticed that the red protection light was on. It now stays on solid whether i have just the ignition on, or the car started. Ive tried unhooking the load from the amp, with just the power and rem wires, and same old red light. I took my meter to make sure that the amp was receiving proper power, and sure enough 12v solid across the amp leads. Next, i checked the impedance on the sub to make sure it was still at 4 ohms....yep still is. I have cleaned off my ground wire only having no luck. I dont know what else to do, all i know is that this protection light is constantly on no matter what, and the sub is only putting out a TINY bit of bass to where i can barely feel it.
Help please!!!

sorry about the double-post, my browser crapped out on me.
another thing...i also did a continuity test through the leads of the sub, and it was ok. i dunno, could it be the fuses, although i doubt it if i am getting a solid 12v from the battery....

Sounds like the amp is blown.  Is it under warranty?

If it's under warranty why bother testing anything?  Take it back where you bought it and get another one or get that one repaired.
