Kenwood KDC-MP228
I just got this deck and installed in yesterday in my 1991 Jeep Cherokee, very nice deck and want more from it.
I have a Creative Zen 40G MP3 player with 1000s+ of songs, and would love to hook it up to my new Kenwood KDC-MP228. I dont really want to do the AM/FM tuner thing, dont sound good enough for my liking, just would like to know the best way to hook it to my deck.
Thanks oh and I am new here and a noob at car audio

You have a few places to look for info.  Creative has info on the installation CD that might tell you what interfaces are available.  Also, that Kenwood deck supposedly has an optional auxillary input, but what it accepts I don't know.  You have to be able to interface the Zen with the deck with the proper connecting ends.  Go to Crutchfield, go to the home page and type in your car for customized information.  Go back to the page about that deck and see what they say.  Once you find out what kind of input is available on the deck, you can contact Creative to find out if an adapter plug is available.

But really I don't think the thing will connect and play through your deck.  All it has is a headphone jack and a mini- USB computer interface.

The easiest thing for you to do is just burn your files onto CDs and play them with the deck.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
