I have a JL 500/1 pushing two 12w3v2s, sounds nice, I think. But I have been hearing alot about these Memphis audio amps 1000watters. Which is the better and why?

Seems like over kill. Too much power for those subs.

Of course it is, I'm just wondering if memphis audio makes a better product than JL

I think at this level there is not much of a difference. They both make seemingly great products. Just a matter of power difference.

JL or Memphis? thats compairing apples to apples. witch one taste better? thats up to you. A 1000wrms memphis will be louder than a 500wrms JL, but I think you know that. Is JL better than Memphis or is Memphis better than JL.? IMO they are both build to high standards and either one would be a fine addition to any system.

But what if one is green and the other is red? BIG difference if you ask me Amps Memphis vs JL -- posted image.

Okay, joke over. Either one would be fine, although the Memphis would be overkill in your setup, as others have suggested.
