Just doing a budget install in my 99 acura. Bought subs and amp, but don't have cash for a HU for a few months probably. In the meantime, I am looking to hook up the subs to my existing HU. My amp comes with speaker level inputs to make this possible. However, i am wondering if i can just run a wire from the speaker wires of my rear speakers (tap into them) with some wire to provide a signal to the amp, or if i will need to disconnect my rear speakers for the time being? Please tell me i can just run a wire to the inputs and leave the speaker connected :)

Yeah, that's usually OK to do. Should be no issue with the Acura stuff...
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
