Ok, i have an '04 chevy avalanche with the bose system. i am wanting to put in a single 10" sub under the back seat.
I listen to hard rock & rap. but mostly hard rock including lots of heavy metal. i do not want a loud boomy, "look at me" system but rather a very clean tight and crisp set-up with a well defined lower end. im not dancing quarters here. just listening to all the frequencies as the artist had in mind when recording the music. but i do have to say, at times i would like to crank up the bass and cruise to some old school rap.
That said, i am looking @ the new JL 10w1v2-4 sub. this sub peeks my interest because it is a shallow depth/normal constructed sub (4 1/2") made from a reputable company. i am also looking @ the 12" pioneer premier TS-SW124D shallow depth sub (3 1/4").
i am wanting a sealed box & the box will have to be very very small as their is not much space below the seat. ~0.60 sf. of air space.
the amp, i have no idea !!! i want a mono, D-class amp.??? i have been looking @ the RockFord Fosgate P3001 or the T10001bd -(but with an 8-ohm load subwoofer), JL 250/1 @ HiFonics Brutus.
i have the RockFord Fosgate CP4CKDS wiring kit & will be using the factory headunit.
Thanks for any comments & suggestions,

With less than 1cft of airspace a 12" simply isn't going to perform very well. You need a 10".
Try that w1 mated to one of these. That 250/1 could run 3 of those w1's.
I think most everyone on this board would recommend JL over Pioneer-anything, anyday.
