Looking to tap into the left and right audio wires. I have already tried it using the sub wires, but I don't like the x-over settings. I want the full band width so that I can set my own x-over.

TCSS, It is a 2001. I've tapped into the sub wiring before the x-over and it still sounds muffled at best. Maybe it is an ohm issue? Getting desperate...
