Hi,  semi novice to installs...

97 Nissan Pathfinder,  I want to replace the front door 6.5s and the tweeters in the windshield frame.       I am looking at buying one of those component kits that come with  the 6.5s, tweeters, and 2 crossovers.

will it be easy enough to plug-and-play the speakers?(ie,  there already are crossovers in there from factory?)     or do I still have to put those crossovers inline with the wiring?

Thanks for any ideas

What you will have to do it tap into the wire in the door for the 6.5" speaker and use that for your crossover input, then run the woofer output directly to the new woofer, and then you will have to run a new wire from the tweeter portion on the crossover to the new tweeter.   From the factory the woofer and tweeter run off the same wire, so thats why you need to run a new tweeter wire.  While your doing that you may as well just run new wires directly from your amp, or aftermarket head unit and bypass the factory amp.  If you need any specific details about your truck just PM me, i have the factory service manual.
