Hi, I have a 1998 hyundai lantra and have taken the old stereo out to get a new one in (standard JVC cd player).
I can get power to the unit, and i know its putting out sounds (have tested with an external speaker from another car), but the speakers in the hyundai will not work...
I've checked all the fuses and all are ok. the clock has also stopped working in the car...
there are way to many wires coming off of the car... (8 speakers and an extra 6 - yellow / red / brown / blue / black / white). AM using black to black amd the blue wire from the car seems to work for both switch and power...
help!

in the factory harness the blue/white wire should be your switched power wire; your constant power should be a RED / black wire

you should check all the speaker connections to see if one of the speakers is grounding out; this would cause a power but no sound condition.

Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.
