Installed a Pioneer D1 in a 05 Excursion, while doing it, the customer added the Terk XM Universal Tuner and XM Digital Adapter. At first, all was good, but now there is a new issue. If the guy is listening to the XM source when he turns the key off, then comes back to the car the XM is not available as a source selection. If he immediately shuts the key off then back on, the XM reappears. Naturally, this is not what the customer wants to do as he paid alot for this set up. Playing around with it, if I unplug the tuner (with the unit on) and then plug back in, it immediately comes on as a source selection. Anyone got any suggestions??

It's been a while, but I think you need to run a diode from the ignition lead to the switched lead behind the radio/xm tuner.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
