I have a quick question.  I am about to install a 6.5" and a 4" in the door of my Silverado.  They are both are non-component sets.  Would I get better response out of these speakers if they were in small sealed enclosures.  If so how do I go about sealing small portions of the door?  THe 6.5" is in the frame of the door and the 4" is mounted in the door panel itself.  How much air space would each speaker require?

Thanks

Are you trying to create a 3-way system?  What is your crossover setting?

for the tweet you cant do enthing that i know of but for the 6.5 you can use fiberglass and make a little box for them and put alittle poly fill in it . as for building the box it isnt going to have to be big. it depends on how much spac you have to work with. all you have to do is make the actuale box an inch or two wider than the speaker. make the box go all the way to the door panal. you can use fg or mdf. i suggest useing fg becuse it makes a more exact fit on the panal. look at the fiberglass and interier forum to find out how to do it right and fell free to ask Q if you dont get anything. there are Q like yours that are on there you sould be able to find them. good luck
