Alpine 9821 head unit

I have an Alpine 9821 cd player head unit installed in my car. 91 olds cutlass ciera. The only problem I have is that the clock and stations are jumbled and you cannot  make out the digital readout. The radio plays fine and the cds play also. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
