Car wiring wierd problem

Hi, i have a 00 civic with a kenwood stereo. Im having troubles because everytime i turn off the car the memory of the stereo dies and i have to turn it on every time. I even tried to rewire it with the guide provided here but it doesnt work. ANYONE CAN HELP!!!!!!!!!

sounds like you have a switched power on you constant battery wire for your radio. what you have to do is make sure that the wire going to the yellow wire marked battery + on the back of your radio, has power when the car is off. if not find the wire that is hot when the car is off and connect it to your yellow. i would check the red wire first when the car is off . if you cant find one you can bring you own up to the radio from the fuse box. just make sure it is a constantly power fuse and use that but remember you are adding to that fuse so you will need to upgrade that fuse 10 amp plus whatever it was. all these test can be done with a light tester.lolJUST ONE MORE AMP!!!

Take out your stereo, if you have a wireing harness check if the yellow wire has power when the cars off with a volt meter or light tester. If you dont have a wireing harness check which cable has power when the cars off by testing them and connect this cable with the yellow one from your stereo harness. If you dont have one run a new wire (12 guage) from battery with a fuse like 15 amps ( put fuse near bettery like no more than 18 iunches) and hook it up to the yellow wire from you stereo harness. The yellow wire is the memory cable in stereos and needs to have constant power to keep memory settings.the duce
