Trying to get this dash out to install a radio. Can't seem to get the light switch out. It won't come out no matter what. Any help would be thanked

Are you talking about the headlight switch? If so, older Ford products had a very small notch at the base of the knob. Get an right angle pick, put the end in the notch and pull it toward you. The knob should pull off.

Thats the strange part. That notch isn't there. We looked and couldn't find anything. I don't know if you maybe have to get it from behind the dash. When i looked behind the dash there were way to many wires to access it.

The only other thing I can think of is some older cars had a release button on the raostat itself that released the shaft. Also I thought the stock radio slid out from behind the dash. Couldn't you do that and airsaw the new hole from the front?

It wasn't a shaft radio.

We got it. There was a release button on the back of the switch
