As some of you already know I have a Phoenix Gold QX500.1d that I have been considering letting go. Well I was asked what i would take for it and I said $250 and was offered $200. Keep in mind my new amp id going to cost $330 (Memphis PRD1000.1). What would you do?

Stick to your guns... You shouldn't take a loss like that.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I've got a closet full of old amps that I've tried to sell. I'll let them rust in peace before I give them away.

Wait it out.  Tell that person either to pay up or shut up.  Well not exactly those terms because they might get mad.

That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

Yeah, I told him today that I would just hold on to it instead of letting it go for that cheap. No big hurries here.

Good move.  Your greatest strength in any negotiation is the ability to walk away.  If they're for real they'll come around.
