Fine Tunine Alpine unit

Sup fellas

I recently installed an Alpine CDA-9835 in my 99 Maxima.  I was trying to find the bass and treble adjustment and after reading the manual realized that this unit is much more complex that what I'm used to.  Is someone willing to help me adjust it so that I get more bass and clarity coming from the speakers?  I installed 4 Infiniti 6 3/4 2 way speakers.  At the moment I don't  have a sub or amp, but I will be buying them later.  I registered for the i-Personalize site and tried playing with that but I'm not sure of what I'm doing.   BTW, it's a non-Bose.

Be sure that the tone controls/EQ are turned on with that unit - it has a setting that bypasses the EQ.  Again, you have to read the manual, as it's got more settings than a race car suspension.  If you want more bass, you should really add an amp - it's lack of power that diminishes the bass response.  A simple 2-channel front speaker amp is all you need.  The media expander is good for bringing MP3's back to life, otherwise I don't much care for it - but that's me.

I wouldn't mess with the time correction stuff on I-personalize unless your tweeters are a long distance from the drivers.  You need to know what you're doing to play with that stuff, otherwise it will sound worse.
