I turned the bass boost to ZERO. That is where i get the most bass. Does that seem right? I turn the bass knob up but the amp bass off. I have the sub level JVC set to level one. If i turn anything up it sounds crappy. So i have to keep everything to their minimums. Any suggestions? The sub is a RE 12 in a ported box and the amp is a 1000watt RMS.
Thanks

could be a few different things like box and port size. are you using a low pass filter and is it set low enough not to let the higher frequencies distort the bass? start there ;)Bass Question -- posted image.

Could be a number of things, but the most likely IMO is too high gain setting and/or too low impedence on the amp.  What's your net impedence load and what's the amp?  How did you set your gain level?

The box was built with the RE specs and we built it for the guy and that was like 3 weeks ago and now he is telling me it sounds like crap. I belive it is his settings not the box because we have checked the box and there are no leaks and the low pass is down when I set it up. Now what he as done since then I don't know. He is one of these guys that trys to tell you what is wrong and what he thinks but, can not explain enough to get the answer he wants and starts to blam it on things he don't know. Its a cheap amp and I told him that and the day it left it was slammin do dist and good clarity. Thanks for the help.
