okay need some help... my friend just bought an amp and wants to put it into his OEM HU on his 2003 CL-S ... need some help with the wiring since i have never dealt with a JL amp before...

will i need 3 sets of hi/lows for front/rear/and sub intput into the amp??? i see a preamp output selectiong, but i don't know what it is for.. can someone explain that to me????

called me old school but for an OEM HU, i would tap hi/lows for the front speaker, tap for the rear speaker and tap the rear for sub...

also how do i bridge the sub output for only one sub???

link to pic of amp...

The preamp output section lets you choose which input signal you'll use if you're daisy-chaining to another amp.

will i need 3 sets of hi/lows for front/rear/and sub intput into the amp?  Yes, you need three inputs.  The sub input doesn't have to have highs though.  Depending on what that OEM system is, you may be grabbing the sub input from the factory sub wiring.

The sub output is mono.  Use one of the + and one of the -.

Use premium line output converters to grab the speaker level signal from the OEM system.  http://www.davidnavone.com/adaptor_products.htm

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
