I'm getting tired of carring around a heavy box with 2 12' subs so I've desided to connect my  RF P8002 amp to some 6x9's.  My brother has a best buy voucher for an MP3 player that he returned and I wanted to use that money to buy some 6x9's from there.

I have an P8002 and two old RF amps with a label that says 45RMS.  The P8002amp puts out    200 W x 2 @ 4 Ohms RMS,     400 W x 2 @ 2 Ohms RMS,     800 W x 1 @ 4 Ohms Bridged RMS    I'll probably be running it at 4ohms but the 6x9's they sell there have a really low RMS.  The lower priced speakers actully have a higher max and RMS.

I have RF P162S componenets on the front with a 60w RMS and 120max.  I have been using the small RF amps for the front and back sets.  If I buy some 6x9 should I connect them to the P8002 or to the small amps.  I want have more front projection (sound infront), I'm not sure that's how you say it. I want some midbass and concentration more on SQ.  I know I'll probably have to turn down my amp really low.

What 6x9's should I buy if I have to get them from BB.

I would tell you to go listen to some woofers.  You seem to have a pretty good idea of what you want, now just go to BB and listen.

I work at BB and none of out 6x9s are going to take that kind of power. Check out a couple of the Alpine Type Es if you want something a lil smaller they would handle that amp nicely and add some good clean bass
