I own a 1994 Cadillac sedan deville.... today i installed my head unit and while i was at it i figured id install my sony 6x9s. Well i went in the trunk layed down looked up... theres like these push in brackets on the factory 6x9s. i cant pull down on the speakers but i can push up. only thing tho the rear deck cover... it has no screens like commonly found in lincolns and such. i want to know how to remove the rear deck lid. I tried pulling the seat back to see what i could do but no luck the rear deck goes all the way down the back of the rear seat. Is there anyone out there who knows how to remove the thing?

Can you push up on them enough so that you can twist them at an angle and slide them out from the bottom?

most likely the rear package shelf goes down a few inches behind the back seat. Usually you can pull up the lower seat cushion from the back seat and you'll find 2 or 3 bolts at the bottom of the seat back. Once these are gone the seat back should lift up off the hooks holding the top on. Some caddy's do have long bolts with nuts holding the top of the seat back in though; you'll see these in the trunk just under the package shelf.
Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.
