I installed a david navone n85 converter in a 2001 honda accord. When the car is turned on the system will work for a while and then after a while it will stop working. The the power, ground, and remote for the amp are fine. I checked the wiring on the converter and it was ok too. I didn't ground the converter, but I don't think that is the problem.

is the amp overheating? check the impedance of the load and make sure everything is cool if the amp is getting hot.

How are you sure this is a line output converter problem?
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

no the amp isn't over heating, and i'm not sure the line output converter is the problem, but that was the only thing i could think it could be.

It could be many things- the deck, a shorted speaker lead, amp, not getting signal, etc.  Try to duplicate the problem, and then see what's there, and what's not.  When it happens, is the amp still on?  Is the amp getting signal when this happens- you can test the signal leads with a meter.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
