Soundstream PCA2000D

OK I have two Kicker L5 15s. I need a total of 1500w RMS @ 1 ohm. I can get a Soundstream PCA2000D. It says on www.soundstream.com that it produces 2000w RMS @ 1 ohm. I know that is more than enough. My question is, does Soundstream over rate their RMS ratings? I just want to know if it really puts out 2000w RMS at 1 ohm. I am curious because I had bought a Boss PD-3000 and it totally sounded like a cheap 100w amp. So I emailed the Boss Tech support stating that I had that amp hooked up to a 60A fuse on the distribution block and it did not blow that fuse at all. So I would guess the Boss PD-3000 only put out like 600w - 1000w RMS. Boss Tech support said "The amp can produce 1000watts rms at 1 ohm stereo mode. The voltage for rating the amp is 14.4 volts and with a test tone of 1kHz." So they rubbed it in their own face, ha ha. I will neverr buy Boss Audio again, with the exception of a boat anchor.

My main question is are Soundstream power ratings accurate? I know they have a good reputation...Way better than Boss Audio, but does the Soundstream PCA2000D really put out 2000w RMS?

Soundstream makes pretty good products up there on the same level as Audiobon. And other middle-class brands such as that.  I haven't heard any bad things about them.  I think you'd be fine going with it.  They're more of an SPL type amp but it should be fine.  Hope this helps
