Can anyone tell me the best way to get to my factory sub in a 2002 gmc yukon? Which panels screws clips etc to remove. Thanks!

Also would It sound bad to replace that with a Kicker VR or Rockford p18s4 and a small amp using high level inputs? I am thinking of being cheap for now and just doing high level off the head unit instead of an aftermarket HU and Rca's..

Thanks!

Don't know on how to get to the sub. Do you have a book on the car check in there. Or go there website. The Kicker VR are really good subs for the price. I have two Kicker 12" VR (03 model)in a sealed box on a Rockford Fosgate Power 851s amp and was really loud. Killed two Punch hX2. I was happy with there performance. Now i have Kicker L7's. If i were you look at the Kicker L7 8 or 10 they are really good subs.
you can't be ahead of the curb if you aren't LIVIN LOUD

does anyone know if the speaker wire already running back to the factory sub is low level? if so could i just splice RCA's into it and run my amp from that?

No, think about it.  If your sub was fed a low level signal, it would hardly produce any sound at all.  Tie in an LOC.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
