Alright, I searched the forums and found similar topics but not one exactly the same.  Here's the deal:

I'm a big fan of multiple sub installs.  I went from 2 to 3 to 4.  My last succesful install was 4 -10" HE2's powered from a JBL 1200.1 in a single cab 96 Ram p/u.  i loved it.  Then i got a hell of a deal on a guy selling me a Kicker 1200.1 the black one not silver for $350.  I bought it.  It worked great in my new Tahoe but my subs have slowly met their ends.  i was now hoping to use both of my "powerhouse" amps in the Tahoe with all the extra room.  I was either going to do a 6 or 8 sub install using both amps.  now i have heard that multiple sizes and brands in subs is never a good idea.  i have no problem with that since i will buy all same brand and all same size subs.  The problem is:

I want to run 3 or 4 subs on each amp.  each amp would see a load of around 1 ohm.  right as i was about to place my order for subs, my co-workers 1 installer 1 sales, said that i wasn't going to like how it sounded since i was using different amps.  I don't compete and don't plan to.  I tend to think that the difference will be minimal.

Does anyone think the subs will somehow cancel themselves?  I love the rumble and sound that i had in my Ram.  I don't care much for extreme sound quality.  I like the boom but i also listen to music at lower volumes which is why i usually use sealed enclosures which is what i plan to use in this case.

I got the Kicker on impulse and i like it.  i also thought about selling either one and getting another of the same brand to have matching amps.  I would hate to lose either amp since both were 300 or more and i know i couldn't sell them for the same price.

Both amps produce (specs) 1200wrms at 1 ohm.

that's what i figured.  and not only will each set be its own enclosure but so will each sub.  -Thanks for the input.  Any other opinions?  Anyone tried this before?

You shouldnt have any problems using two different amps on your subs.
I have done it many times.

Ditto.  No issues.  You'll simply have to match levels, but you'd have to do that anyway using two fo the exact same amps.  No biggie.
