Hi all I am new here so plesae bear with me if I ask questions that have already been asked.I have a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport with a 3.0 v6. I have the following installed, A pioneer DEH-p80Mp h.u. an Alpine MRD-m605 with a kicker solobaric 12" L7 4 ohm sub in a 3.25cu ft ported box tuned to 37hz. Now I know about the cap vs alternator debate.I have a 1 farad cap that I will put in later but I want to upgrade my alternator and battery first. That said does anybody have any ideas where I can buy an upgraded alternator for my truck? Next question would be does it matter weather I choose an optima red top or yellow top or are they the same thing?Any help would be greatly appreaciated, thanks in advance.1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport alternator -- posted image.

There are many places to order H.O. alternators from. You may start by searching here on this site. https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/search.asp?KW=alternator&SM=1&SI=TC&FM=2&OB=1

However I would be more inclined to find a local dealer. This way if there are any problems you don't have to wait for deliveries.
