Bass cancilation in 94 crhy-LHS

dose anyone know what i can do to get some bass outta my trunk i think its to air tight or maybey i need to re position the speaker im running 1 12 inch jl- audio w6 to a nice off brand amp but i tried a few things it sounds good with the trunk open but when i close it no more bass.

Yup.  Move the box around until your response picks up.  There was a recent discussion about this- do a search and you should come up with a good link or two.

I used to have that car;  built like a tank and super quiet.  There's a lot of body between the cabin and the trunk.  But I didn't install a system into it during the short time I had it, so I don't know what the rear cutouts are.  You should go to an autoparts store and buy a Haynes manual.  Follow directions on taking out the rear seat and rear deck.  This is where you want to fashion a through-way for the sub sound to get into the cabin.  Hopefully there will be one or two speaker cutouts you can use.  And cover that sheet metal with damping while you have it exposed.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
