i have bought a pair of hifonics Zeus 12" dvc subs. for my wife's car. i pulled the box out and put some fiber fill in the box to help smooth them out a bit. anyhow i was checking them out and noticed one of the subs has a scratched voice coil and a groove. i noticed it when i was applying pressure to the cone and it was not pushing smooth. i push the sub cone out a bit and blew on the v/c and then it pushed fine.  It sounds fine, still reads fine on the dmm, should I be concerned or run it till it die's?    Thanks. all and any.

Typically from what we have found, when you have a scratched or warped VC, you may not notice it right away but it will get worse.
You could cause damage to other equipment by running them already on thier way out, but its up to you
