how do i remove the radio from a 2001 Mercedes?

do u see two slits on the side of the radio? u need to pick up european radio removal tools(ie vw keys). the harness will be a vw harness BUT the constant and switch need to be swapped...

go down to a local audio shop and pay them a couple bucks to do it.....note is u unplug the radio and plug it back in ....it will lock and u will have to enter a code

well i still want the tool to have for myself. ALSO mentioned earlier that i use a VW wire harness but what kinda kit do i use?

no kit.. should just iso mount with the cage. ALSO make sure to get the powered vw antenna adapter if u want to keep AM

You can get them from snap-on, matco, mac, etc.  You can also get them online.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

most of those system have a factory amp in the truck.....u need to rewire the amp or get a step down piece.
Where theres is a wire there's a way.
